The Foolish Cat and the Clever Monkey
Friendship
among cats is rare. They are fool as well as quarrelsome. One day two cats
found a piece of bread. They started fighting over it but neither could get
full procession. Then a monkey arrived there. He proposed to solve their
dispute by distributing the bread equally between them. They agreed. The monkey
divided the bread into two but those were unequal in size. To equalize, he ate
a portion from a larger portion. Then the other portion seemed larger. The
apportions were continued and at last the monkey ate up both the pieces of
bread. The cats asked for their bread but the cleaver monkey replied them that
it was the remuneration of his work. Realizing their foolishness, the cats
started to lament and the monkey left.
Moral: Two fight, a third person gains.

Dawn in Our Locality
Aurangabad is a busy city. All the
day it is full of crowd and pollution except dawn. When I get up from bed in
early morning, coming out of the room, I look up at the sky. It is deep blue
and the sun looks like a paint on the forehead. Here and there some patches of
clouds are floating. Mild breeze is blowing. A beautiful fragrance is felt in
the air. Birds fly in the sky twittering merrily. The fresh pollution free air,
the first light of the sun and the calmness of our area bring the state of
peace in my mind and refresh my spirit. Its every bit of moments gives me the
oxygen to live and work in this artificial world that keeps us distant/away
from nature.
