Using the following hints write a story in about
sixty words:
A hare boasts
how he can run fast --- teases tortoise for his slow speed --- both run a race
--- hare sees tortoise far behind --- falls asleep midway --- wakes up to see
tortoise much ahead --- hare’s last leap too late --- tortoise beats him.
A Hare and a Tortoise
Once there lived a hare
and a tortoise in a forest. The hare always boasted about his speed. So he teased
the tortoise for his slow speed. The tortoise protested. So one fine morning they
ran a race. After sometime the hare saw that the tortoise was far behind. He
was sure of his victory. So he decided to take some rest and fell asleep.
Waking up he found that the tortoise was almost near the finishing point. The
hare started running again as fast as he could. But it was too late. The
tortoise defeated the hare.
Moral: Slow but steady
wins the race.

You have all seen an ice cream peddler pushing his
cart either in front of your house or school. Write a paragraph in about sixty
words on what you think he does after he has finished selling all his ice
creams.
All day long, after
selling all his ice creams, an ice cream peddler goes back home. I think there he
counts the money he got by selling his ice creams. Then he separates the profit
and goes to market to buy all the required things for his family. Returning
home, he washes his cart and prepares ice-cream for the next day’s sale.
