Write a short story in about 60 words using the following hints:
(Crow looking for water – thirsty - finds a pitcher - water at the bottom - finds pebbles - drops pebbles - water level rises - quenches thirst.)
The Thirsty Crow / The Crow and the
Pitcher
One hot day, a thirsty
crow flew everywhere in search of water but did not find it anywhere. Suddenly
he found a pitcher under a tree and flew on it with great hope. But there was a
little water left in it. The crow tried hard to reach the water but could not.
(Being desperate he tried to overturn the pitcher and even to break it but all
in vain.) At last his eyes fell on some pebbles. An idea came to his mind. He
brought the pebbles in his beak and dropped them in the pitcher. Then the water
came upto the brim of the pitcher. The crow drank to his heart’s content and
flew away happily.
