Dear Kanan,
I got your letter
yesterday. Thank you for your invitation to go on a tour of Rajasthan together.
But my mother is very ill. She is going to have heart surgery early next month.
So we can’t join you for the tour. Please don’t mind. Wish you a happy and
memorable visit to Rajasthan.

Write a letter to your friend in about seventy words telling him/her about a short tour you had recently gone to. Mention the places you had visited, how you travelled, people who accompanied you, your sightseeing and your enjoyment of the tour:
Aurangabad,
Murshidabad
25th May 2017
Dear Mou,
You will be delighted to know that last winter I with my parents went to Lalbagh, Murshidabad, the capital of West Bengal during the Nawab rule, by bus. After reaching there, we visited the Hazarduari, a magestic palace with one thousand doors. We saw there the magic mirrors, many famous pictures, the mummies of many birds, many precious manuscripts, the canons and the weapons, used by the Nawabs. Then we visited the Motijhil, Khosbag, Katra Mosque, Kathgola Bagan, House of Jagat Sheth and many more historical places. The visit to Murshidabad unveiled a rich pageant of Indian History before my mind’s eyes. I enjoyed the tour thoroughly and returned home gleefully.
With love and best wishes.
Yours ever,
Baban

Write a paragraph in about 75 words describing this picture of a village fair. Use the following words and phrases:
(fair ground, crowd, merry-go-round, circus tent, shops and counters, balloon-seller, fun, enjoyment.)
A Village Fair
A village fair is a popular event in the countryside. It is held sometimes
in a year, usually on the occasion of some religious or social festivals. It is
usually held on an open place either in a vast ground or in a river bank. The
Fair lasts for two to seven days or more. There are hundreds of temporary stalls
selling various articles like toys, balloons, bangles, cosmetic items, wooden-utensils,
earthen idols, household goods, baskets etc. There are several numbers of food
stalls like sweets, fuchka, egg roll, ghugni, chop, ice cream etc. Men, women, and
children are gathering, jostling and bargaining in front of every stall. The
chief attention of the fair is circus party, merry-go-round, puppet show and
Jatra. Thus it really gives a chance to relax from a boring routine life and
enjoy the company of the neighbours.
