1. Who do you think came knocking at the poet’s small door?

Answer: Actually no one knocked at the poet’s small door. But the still, dark night gave him a mysterious feeling that there was someone knocking on the door. It might be possible that some wild animal might have bumped against his door. It made him think that someone came knocking on his door.
